Information on electrical and electronic equipment

The following information is intended for private end users who use electrical and/ or electronic equipment.

1. Notes on the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment and on the meaning of the symbol according to the Annex
In connection with the sale of batteries or the delivery of devices containing batteries, we are obliged to inform you of the following:
You are legally obliged to return used batteries as the end user and must take them to a collection point separate from unsorted municipal waste. After use, you can return batteries to us or to the designated collection points (e.g. municipal collection points or retailers) free of charge. You can also return the batteries to us by post. Please ensure that the postage is sufficient.
If you have old appliances with old batteries or accumulators that are not enclosed in the old appliance, you must separate them from the appliance before handing them in at a collection point. This does not apply insofar as the WEEE is separated from other WEEE by the public waste management authorities for the purpose of preparing it for reuse.
Batteries containing harmful substances are marked with a symbol consisting of a crossed-out dustbin and the chemical symbol (Cd, Hg or Pb) of the heavy metal that is decisive for the classification as containing harmful substances.
By means of the following symbol - crossed-out dustbin - you can recognise old appliances that are to be disposed of separately from unsorted municipal waste:

2. Notes on the possibility of returning old appliances:

If you have old appliances, you can hand them in at the facilities set up and available by public waste management authorities for the return or collection of old appliances for the purpose of proper disposal of the old appliances.
If necessary, it is also possible to hand in electrical and electronic appliances there for the purpose of reusing the appliances. You will receive more detailed information from the respective collection or take-back point.
Below you will find the possibility to view an online directory of collection and take-back points: https://www.ear-system.de/ear-verzeichnis/sammel-und-ruecknahmestellen

In addition, as a manufacturer of electrical and electronic equipment, we provide the following option(s) for the return of old equipment for their users:

You can return electrical equipment to a municipal collection point or to your local retailer. As a distributor of electrical appliances, we are also obliged to take back old appliances, although our take-back obligation is limited to appliances of the type that we stock or have stocked as new appliances in our range. You can therefore either return old appliances of the above type to us with sufficient postage or hand them in directly to our dispatch warehouse at the following address free of charge:

Biologa Danell GmbH
Hauptstraße 27

3. Data protection notice

Some of the old equipment to be disposed of may contain sensitive personal data (e.g. on a PC or smartphone), which must not fall into the hands of third parties.

We expressly point out that end users of old devices must take responsibility for the deletion of personal data on the old devices to be disposed of.
