Yarn count
The yarn count ranges from extremely fine (over 100 Nm) to the coarsest numbering.
Base material
A wide range of materials can be used as the basis for Swiss Shield® yarns. From cotton to synthetic fibres such as polyester, polyamide, aramides and others.
Conductive components
The monofilament can be made of copper, brass, bronze, silver, gold, aluminium, inox or other conductive materials.
Surface, conductive or insulating
The surface of the monofilament can be selected as either an insulating or electrically conductive variant.
Swiss Shield® textiles
Swiss Shield® yarns form the basis for the production of high-quality textile fabrics with specifically variable properties.
Shielding
The degree of shielding of Swiss Shield® textiles can be adjusted to individual requirements and can range from a few dB to over 50 dB. These values are achieved with total, horizontal and/or vertical polarisation.
Textile construction, finish and materials
Swiss Shield® yarns can be processed into extremely fine (40 g/m2) to heavy (over 250 g/m2) fabrics. The textile characteristics can be varied depending on the application.
Processing
Swiss Shield® textiles are as easy to process as normal textiles (sewing, gluing, coating, compression moulding, laminating, etc.).
